This One's For Rufus
My brother graduated from Notre Dame in 1989. The recipient of that year's Laetare Medal was Walker Percy. This is his introduction and speech.
"The novelist is one of the lowliest handmaidens..." Fitting words to speak at Our Lady's university.
Many thanks to Mark for getting this online.
"The novelist, I think, has a special calling to truth these days. The world into which you are graduating is a deranged world. It is his task to show that derangement."

Enjoy, Rufus.
Thank you Mark and thank you Matthew! And thank you Walker and thank you Jesus!
Thank you Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Walker, Jack and Notre Dame.
"Loose Ends" MTV version next?
I see from Korrektiv that the transcript was already extent. Might have guessed...we are posting on Godsbody, after all...!!!
Need to re-record LE first...after getting the vocalist drunk! There are also three different melodies for "Misfits" buried somewhere in Matt's inbox...
Thank you for this.
Santiago, you're most welcome. Rufus deserves the credit - he kept after me to keep after Mark.
