That tear has got all the trademarks of a toddler coming along and worrying the adhesive from the chrome in almost absentminded fascination - the haphazard, almost lazy incompleteness of the vandalizing suggests not so much intent as it does the humoring of a brief entertainment that had resolved itself in an almost tragic ennui as only 2- or 3-year-olds can express it...
